Desert-acclimated trees are one of nature's wonders, with their ability to create a rigid root system in an arid climate, grow in poor soil, and grow tall towards the sun, while it is radiating triple digit heat.
In the desert landscape, there are so many design elements that desert trees provide, such as beautiful blooms, added vertical interest, and the separation of space. On a more practical side of things, they provide a much needed respite from the sun, and keep parts of the house or the yard cool for us and other plants. They also provide a resting area for birds and pollinators, and finally, some privacy from our neighbors.
